Two weeks at Instructional Applications of the Internet

"Instructional Applications of the Internet" the whole sentence sounds like a herculean course to make sense out of. Ms. Elena Novak is our faculty. However, this is by far a very chilled out course subject that I have enrolled for. It is an online course and everything- the classes, assignment- needs to be performed online (you however get the gist of the course by the title itself, just saying). It is almost two weeks now and we gotta start blogging about it, sounds fun.

Week 1: The first week was an introduction week. Given that this is an online coursework and we (students and the faculty) would barely meet face to face, we were given an assignment to write tell about ourselves in an innovative way. We were asked to create a presentation which would introduce me as a person. I tried my best to introduce myself by presenting an innovative slideshow- the slides will be on a road or a pathway to life, with each slide on the road saying something about me. On the presentation, I shared about my hobbies, my favorite pass time, my friends & family, my dog, etc. It felt like a really cool and fun way to introduce each other.

Week 2: We were given an assignment to write the limitations, benefits and instructional applications on the following threads:

  1. Twitter
  2. Blogs
  3. RSS feed
  4. Wikis
We were even asked to create a twitter account and blog (which I just did, sheesh!) and write about the course work every 2 weeks. This is a really cool and innovative way to express our feelings to each other. We can even discuss and queries related to the coursework.

I hope I get much to talk about the course work in the coming days. Until then, See you on the other side. Bye.
